Services
Since 2019, Wakefield Street Kitchen has been busy with providing homeless support as well as food and clothes to other financially struggling people in the local area.
The charity operates a food bank in Wakefield but can also send volunteers to various West Yorkshire places — including Wakefield city centre, Flanshaw, Horbury and Lupset — to provide crucial supplies.
“Feeding the Community”
This is the slogan of Wakefield Street Kitchen, which feeds without judgement and welcomes food donations. The team can feed not just financially struggling people but also those who simply deserve the highest-quality food.
With its ‘meals on wheels’ service, Wakefield Street Kitchen can set up a kitchen on the streets so that households can, where they already are, quickly access freshly-made hot meals. Volunteers of Wakefield Street Kitchen take a hands-on approach to ensure everyone’s nutritional needs are met.
Volunteers are needed at Wakefield Street Kitchen
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer here, please join Wakefield Street Kitchen’s Facebook group before contacting an admin of the group or leaving a post on the group page. A member of the WSK team can then get back to you about what volunteering opportunities are available.
